Back to 7K — Volatility’s Not Done
by Tony Rago

We’re back knocking on the 7,000 handle in ES and the 25,900 area in NQ pre-open after another night of aggressive overnight action. Big waves in this tape, with a lot of movement happening outside regular trading hours — and that matters. When overnight sessions do the heavy lifting, it often leaves cash hours more reactive, forcing traders to read flow instead of chasing levels. How we open today will set the tone, and early structure should give clues as to whether this move has real legs or just needs to digest.

From here, it’s pretty clean: bulls need to hold pullbacks to the weekly pivot on both ES and NQ. That level is the line between controlled continuation and a market that slips back into chop. If buyers can defend it, momentum stays intact and the door remains open for extension. If not, patience matters — no need to force it when the tape is this active. Stay sharp, stay flexible, and let price confirm before committing. 💪
