Gianni Di Poce is calling this the best buying opportunity since the end of July. He said it while bombs were flying and oil was pressing toward $90.
The S&P 500 took out last week’s low today. The Nasdaq did not.
That single divergence carries his entire thesis.
Gianni is also going live tomorrow, Wednesday September 2nd at 2:00 PM Eastern, to walk through his Tech Timers framework.

Now back to today’s tape.
Gianni traces the pressure back to one source. Rates and oil are running this tape. Oil is running the rates.
WTI is pressing into $90 a barrel. Brent is testing its highs from a couple of weeks ago.
The 10-year note sits at multi-year lows, back to levels last seen at the beginning of 2025. The 30-year bond has not confirmed with a new low of its own.
Gianni reads that as hysteria rather than a broken trend. The Treasury’s bond-buying operation doesn’t even begin until next Wednesday.
Friday’s jobs report becomes the deciding factor. A weak print kills the rate hike chatter. A strong print delivers the hike at the September 15 meeting.
Here is what Gianni broke down in today’s session:
- The S&P 500 lost last week’s low while the Nasdaq held above its own. Gianni says the reversal setup stays alive only while that holds.
- WTI is pressing $90 a barrel. Gianni says falling oil prices fix rates, the dollar, and stocks all at once.
- Software is the rotation he wants. Salesforce, MongoDB, JFrog, and Palantir have carried the group while semiconductors sit dormant.
- Software is roughly 20% of the technology space against 40% for semiconductors. Gianni sees it growing toward 25% or 30%.
- Meta is one of the last Mag 7 dominoes left standing. He expects it to drag mega cap tech higher once it moves.
- Bitcoin targets 100,000 to 110,000 by year end. Ethereum targets 3,400 to 3,600. Solana back near 150 is his best crypto opportunity right now.
Gianni has been holding Salesforce since he started accumulating in early July. He wants sideways action there before the next leg up.
Sentiment surveys are nowhere near euphoria. Gianni says bottoms get built in panic and hysteria, and this tape is checking those boxes.
The trade only works while the Nasdaq holds its line. That level is the one to watch tomorrow morning.
