Problems for Upcoming Russian Bond Payments, Says Don Kaufman

The U.S. doesn’t want Russia to pay American investors in U.S. dollars, pushing the country toward default. Russia says it wants to pay in rubles instead. But things aren’t that simple. Don Kaufman, TheoTrade’s Chief Market Strategist, says that most of these bonds don’t allow repayment in rubles.
