I recently started watching your daily report. Today's is WHY THE TECHs are soaring? I am not a market analyst. In my opinion even though this looked similar to the 2000 downturn (caused by TECH) I think they are not same. In my opinion the TECH sectors are really growing because of the big shift in Technology infrastructure. For example.

The entire IT infrastructure is being revamped - From individually managed server centric computing to cloud centric computing. Gaints like Amazon, Google, Microsoft are building infrastructure day in day out. This is fueling the Optic communication, storage technology, semiconductor technology, semiconductor equipments etc.

Even though we see the retail seems to be plummeting, the retail business is transitioning to online mode where Amazon, Google are taking a big share. Same is the video business. Similar trend is in Auto industry, manufacturing automation, energy. Every sector in one way or other is being impacted by Tech sector, because of this Tech stocks are soaring. The unfortunate thing is there are only very few players who build these today. In my opinion it may take a few more years where more competitors will evolve to take on these giants.
