The Markets Like the CPI Report — Here’s What to Do About It by Tony Rago   Today’s inflation data is taking us to new highs. That’s part of the battle. The Bears Have a Decent Shot Today  by Tony Rago   New week, new opportunities to make money!  Tariff headlines prompted a gap down at last night’s open, and that gap has not been filled so far. The bears have an opportunity today to capitalize on these headlines; they need to push under the overnight lows and seal them off.  That’s probably easier said than done. Get Dry Powder Ready for a Move by Tony Rago Bands are getting tight on the hourly chart. That means a move is coming, and we just have to be patient. We’ve had a very choppy, headline-driven July so far. Today is the original end of the tariff “pause” date, so I’m expecting at least a few more headlines to that end. Here Are the Key Levels to Watch Today  by Tony Rago   Yesterday was a difficult day for me. Let’s just say it was not a tape that hauled in a bunch of handles for me. Quite the opposite, in fact, as I had a losing day. Some old habits crept in as well. The tape was choppy and I found I was chasing the losses. Just a reminder NOT to do that!  After all, there’s always another setup.  We’re starting with a clean slate today and I’m hoping for some smoother price action!  With all that said, the weekly pivots are absolutely in play. NQ is trying to stay above its pivot while ES is below its own.  Those levels will be key to the trading today — bullish above and bearish below. We need to see some cohesive price action or it will just add up to more
